ANAND DIAGNOSTIC LABORATORY – A NEUBERG ASSOCIATE IN ASSOCIATION WITH PRAGATHI CHARTIABLE TRUST ORGANISED MEDICAL CAMP

Aims to collate clinical data and medical history of the people in the surrounded area

Bengaluru, March 6, 2019: Anand Diagnostic Laboratory – A Neuberg Associate, one of India’s oldest and leading, stand-alone diagnostic services company organised a medical camp as part of its CSR. The camp was inaugurated by Sreenath Upadhya (Executive Trustee) in the presence of Dr. V. S. Aithal (Nephrologist) (Morriston Hospital, Swansea, UK).

The medical camp was conducted in association with Pragathi Charitable Trust, a registered NGO & Dr. Sadananda Aithal (a Nephrologist who practice in UK). The main objective of this initiative was to collect clinical data and medical history of the nearby population like Minesandra village and others to assess the risk of kidney disease.

The camp was conducted between 9:00 am – 4:00 pm in the premises of Pragathi e-learning centre, Bengaluru. A total of 123 participants from Minesandra village contributed towards this noble cause who had undergone the following tests:

1) Random blood sugar 2) Serum Creatinine

As a part of this camp, a free consultation done by a team of 9 doctors along with free Urine Dip test, BMI. Post which, the team collated their medical history and current clinical assessment.

Anand Diagnostic Laboratory – A Neuberg Associate believed strongly in giving back to the society. We are proud to host this medical camp to increase awareness about the importance of medical check-up. In today’s commercial world, it has become a major challenge to approach right people at the right time as many of the patients in India are extremely poor do not have access to even blood banks. Moreover, when life threatening illnesses strike, it is a crippling shock for them and their families. This is one of the important areas that Anand Diagnostic Laboratory – A Neuberg Associate intends to address, by conducting medical camp and provide indirect support to patients.
