Episodes shot at picturesque locations across the state of Queensland to be aired from 17th July 2017
Bengaluru, 15th July, 2017: Tourism Australia, along with Tourism and Events Queensland, has collaborated with Colors Kannada, to showcase unique Australian experiences and the stunning locales of Queensland in the popular television series ‘Radha Ramana’. The episodes showcasing Gold Coast, Moreton Island, and Brisbane is all set to go on air starting 17th July, 2017. Viewers can tune into Colors Kannada from Monday to Friday at 9.00 pm to watch the spectacular beauty of Australia on the show. Repeat telecasts will be broadcasted at 9.00 am and 2 pm the following day.

These tourists spent AUD 128 Million (INR 640 crores) on their Australia holiday, with a per capita spend of AUD 5,150 or over INR 250,000. Through impactful integrations like these, our endeavour is to increase awareness and build aspiration for Australia for travellers from Karnataka. We’re confident that Radha Ramana, given its massive popularity among viewers, is an ideal platform for us to showcase Australia’s unparalleled beauty and offerings and will help us further drive visitation to the country”.
The Radha Ramana shoot has taken place at some popular locations in Queensland including Tangalooma Island Resort on Moreton Island that’s famous for its dolphins, Kangaroo Point cliffs, Brisbane Story Bridge, Southbank and the tram in Gold Coast. Radha Ramana will also showcase some interesting Australian adventure experiences such as sand boarding, quad biking, sky-diving, that travelers can undertake on their holiday to Queensland. One of Bangalore’s leading travel agency, Travel Tours, has come on board as the travel partner for the integration project, and will launch attractively priced packages to encourage travel to the regions highlighted during the course of the show.

The upcoming track will showcase the progression of the relationship of the lead characters Radha and Ramana. The two lead characters end up in Australia as Ramana who has completed his MBA degree in Australia has plans of expanding his business in the country while Radha has a series of bucket list activities that she plans to fulfill while in Australia.
For the month of May 2017, Australia welcomed 31,000 visitors, recording the highest ever visitation in any given month from India. For the year-ended May 2017, Australia witnessed 274,500 Indian visitors, recording a growth of 15.3 per cent over the previous year, and is set to achieve fourth consecutive year of double-digit growth from India.
