FPW 1 – The Airport Rescue and Fire Fighting (ARFF) team demonstrating on ways to contain fire during the time emergency to the Airport Taxi drivers on the occasion of Fire Prevention Week at the Kempegowda International Airport.
FPW 2 – The ARFF personnel imparting knowledge to the government school children from neighboring localities about the measures to be taken when there is a fire mishap.
FPW 3 – The CISF personnel undergoing an advanced training in firefighting during the Fire Prevention Week at the airport.
FPW 4 – Firefighting training being imparted to the employees of AISATS COOLPORT.
Bangalore International Airport Limited (BIAL) celebrates the annual Fire Prevention Week at the Kempegowda International Airport Bengaluru. The week-long campaign which started on April 13th and concludes on April 20th, is conducted to raise awareness about fire safety. The theme for this year Fire Prevention Week is “Firemen- your partner to save life and property”. As part of the commemoration, BIAL conducts awareness campaigns throughout the week. These include training activities to equip taxi drivers, loaders, cargo partners and other stakeholders at airport to operate basic firefighting equipment. Fire safety education are also given to the neighboring communities.
These training exercises have been conducted at the Bengaluru Airport since the airport began operations in 2008.
