Manish is the founder & CEO of Skrilo and comes with over 15 years of global corporate experience as management consultant and equity investment analyst working in some of the world’s most respected organisations.
Manish embarked on his professional journey as a management consultant with McKinsey & Company in New Jersey. His investing experience has spread across reputable firms including Oaktree Capital Management and Litespeed Management in New York and Citigroup and Ivaldi in Singapore. The entrepreneurial challenge is not new to him as he previously co-founded and co-managed a Singapore based hedge fund, Amoeba Capital, with peak assets of US$ 750 million. His inclination towards innovation, and his quest to build something out of the ordinary pushed him to start Skrilo.
Born and brought up in India, Manish spent the early part of his professional life in the United States before settling down in Singapore. Extremely passionate about innovation and experimentation, he believes his strength lies in his capability of thinking laterally and strategizing for value creation. Calm and well-read, Manish is a people’s person. He loves travelling and has a keen interest in movies, cricket and creative writing. In his leisure time, he loves to tinker with ideas that present different and new ways to do things.
Manish has a bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical) from Birla Institute of Technology & Science, Pilani and later pursued his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Johns Hopkins University. He also holds the C.F.A. Charter.
Gaurav Singh, Co-founder & CTO, Skrilo
Gaurav, Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer of Skrilo has over 12 years of experience in the software industry and is an avid programmer.
Before Skrilo, he was with Adobe Systems as a computer scientist. He has also worked with renowned companies like Infosys Technologies Ltd, Computer Sciences Corporation, EBusinessware, CashEdge and Sapient. During his stint with these companies, he has worked on many global projects in the web applications, desktops applications as well as mobile applications domain. He also has couple of US patents to his name. Having worked with services as well as product companies, he brings in a wealth of experience and functions as a solution provider.
Born and brought up in Delhi, Gaurav loves to travel. He has a keen eye for spotting trends and new innovations to solve problems. He is a cycling enthusiast and an avid long distance runner. He understands and appreciates the importance of technology and grabs every opportunity he gets to explore the same. Gaurav is a people’s person and thus believes in the power of team work.
