Students from St Paul’s School andAmaatra Academy win exciting cash prizes at the recently concluded “Great Indian Career Challenge” by Lodestar


India’s first ever career awareness Inter-School Quiz competition – “ The Great Indian Career Challenge ” concluded on Jan 10th in Bangalore with St Paul’s School winning the trophy & Amaatra Academy  the runners up and also winning exciting cash prizes.

Hosted by Lodestar-  India’s first scientific career guidance company in association with Greycaps- Asia’s largest onstage quizzing company, the preliminary round had received an overwhelming response, with over 5000 students from across 50 schools across Bangalore who participated.  The Semi finals event saw around 350 students competing.  The event was presided by Principals, Teachers from various schools & featured a talk by guest of honor- Mekin Maheshwari- Chief People Officer of Flipkart

The quiz created a platform to break down traditional barriers and mindsets one comes across when choosing a career. It gave them a glimpse into the huge universe of opportunity where there are over 250 career options available, which can match their child’s true calling and aptitude. This first of its kind initiative aimed to use the platform of a quiz competition to make students aware of the plethora of options available, which in turn can enable them to start planning towards a rewarding career.

“Participating in the quiz gave students an exposure to the world of jobs, industry trivia, emerging careers, specialisations, institutes, and famous people, in addition to opening their minds to realise the opportunities available across the career spectrum. We received an overwhelming response from schools across Bangalore & we now aim to take this to other cities in the second edition later this year.” Said Murlidhar S- Founder & CEO- Lodestar Career Guidance

The event also saw the launch of“Lodestar Career Guru” India’s first career awareness engagement app which enables tips on smart career planning, increases career awareness quotient, helps in college selection in addition to a host of other features.
